2 Timothy 2
In this chapter Paul encourages Timothy in his pastoral position and gives him advice on dealing with people and how he should behave.

In this first section of verses 1-7 Paul gives Timothy 2 main pieces of encouragement. He is to entrust to faithful men the gospel to teach, and, as a soldier, not to get tangled up in civilian pursuits, or everyday life. Write a definition for each of these in your own words.

Verses 8-13 are filled with encouraging words from Paul, in your own words, describe all the encouraging things he says in this section.

In verse 10 Paul addresses one thing that motivates him to endure, describe what he is saying. Do you think the same way that Paul does on this topic?

Paul says something in verses 8-13 that is a warning to Christians, what is the warning?

In verses 14-18 Paul tells Timothy to charge his congregation not to quarrel about pointless things. Why does he tell them this, what is the goal of not quarreling about these things? What does Paul say is Timothy’s job in all of this?

The last section of this chapter, verses 20-26 Paul transitions to talking honorable vs dishonorable use. From verse 21 describe what a vessel for honorable use looks like and what its purpose is.
